The Houston Sports Scene is a series I created of aerial photos that capture Houston's major sports venues while showcasing a view of the city. The goal of the series was to use photography as a medium to combine the love of one's hometown with the passion that sports brings, all in a perspective that most don't get to see. 

All of the photos in the Houston Sports Scene series were captured with a drone. Each photo was then created into a 18"x24" canvas print.

The 5 stadiums featured in this series are the Toyota Center, BBVA Compass Stadium, Minute Maid Park, Rice Stadium, and TDECU Stadium.

Toyota Center - Located in Downtown Houston, the Toyota Center is home to the Houston Rockets, the city's professional basketball team of the NBA. The venue also hosts the nation's top concerts & touring shows.

BBVA Compass Stadium - Located in East Downtown Houston, BBVA Compass Stadium is home to the Houston Dynamo, the city's professional soccer team of the MLS. The Stadium is know for it's unique architecture featuring the Dynamo's Forever Orange color.

Minute Maid Park - Located in Downtown Houston, Minute Maid Park is home to the Houston Astros, the city's professional baseball team of the MLB. Built on the former Union Station site, the ballpark incorporates early 20th century railroad architecture & design as a theme throughout. It serves as a symbol to the importance the railroads played in the development of Houston.

Rice Stadium - Located in on the campus of Rice University, Rice Stadium is home to the Rice Owl Football team. Opened in 1950, it is Houston's most historic sporting venue still currently used today.

TDECU Stadium - Located on the campus of the University of Houston, in the heart of Third Ward, TDECU Stadium is home to the Houston Cougars Football Team. Completed in 2014, TDECU Stadium is the newest major sports venue in the city. It is a direct representation of the University of Houston's continued growth in recent years, as it solidifies its place as one of the top colleges in the nation.
